Mexican Hotdogs

You’ve seen me be involved in blogging events before and here’s another one for a very special friend of mine, Jessica from The Jey of Cooking.  This baseball themed baby shower is being hosted be Joelen of What’s Cookin’, Chicago.  Be sure to head over there for the full round-up!

Baseball is not a huge past time here in the South Carolina where I’m from.  My mom, however, has mid-Western roots and I did grow up going to my fair share of Cardinals ball games.  Don’t tell Jessica, though, because she and her husband and all their children are die hard Cubs fans!

What’s better than a hot dog for a baseball themed party?

Hot dogs topped with a delicious avocado topping, that’s what!  These hot dogs were such a nice break from the norm.  Hot dogs come in, what, packs of 8?  Same old, same old can get boring.  Spice up your life with a little Hispanic flair!

Congrats, Jessica and Brian, on your soon-to-be-born baby girl.

A hotdog at the ball game is one of my favorite things in the entire world. These sound really fantastic.

  • Jey

These sound right up my alley. Thanks for participating in my virtual shower! :)

I recently heard about topping hot dogs with avocado and thought it was a great idea – I’m using it for my upcoming hot dog bar!

Avocado on just about anything is better. I was wondering, can you recommend a good brand of veggie dogs? I like the idea of hotdogs more than the actual thing.
